Heart-Healthy Sausage and Onion Sheet Pan Dinner

Preheat oven to 400°F.
On a parchment paper-lined sheet pan, toss together onions, peppers, olive oil, vinegar, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, salt and pepper. Spread in an even layer and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the sheet pan from the oven and toss the vegetables with the fresh garlic. Lay the sausage links on top, and return the sheet pan to the oven. Bake 15 minutes.
Remove the sheet pan from the oven and toss with fresh basil (optional). Serve the mixture as a stand-alone dish or as desired.
Serve on a flatbread or whole-wheat wrap with crunchy veggies for another light dinner option.
